Along with an Application for a Permit to Construct, municipalities within Ontario may require an Energy Efficiency Design Summary (EEDS) form.  The one page form is intended to ensure that the Ontario Building Code’s (Supplementary Standard SB-12) minimum energy efficiency requirements are being achieved.  One EEDS form is required for each dwelling (apartment, house, semi, civic address).

This service is applicable to the houses/dwelling units where the glazing area does not exceed 22%, otherwise, EEDS (Performance Modeling) service will be required. Please be advised that if the units withing the house have different heat sources, a separate EEDS form will be required for each unit.
